Upcoming Talks and December Update

Upcoming Talks and December Update

We officially have a location!

I am happy to announce that we will be located in the Medical Dental Building beside the Dawson Creek Medical Clinic. We are beginning renovations and are trying our hardest to open as soon as possible. We are still aiming for the early new year, but no exact date has been determined.

We have had huge success with our previous talks and have organized a few more at the Dawson Creek Health Food Centre, Rebel Fit Nutrition/True North Fitness and the Health and Wellness Expo at Encana Event Centre.

I am still waiting for my BC licensing so that I can officially call myself a Naturopathic Doctor. Please keep in mind that I am not yet licensed if you are attending my talks.

Below are the dates and topics. If you are interested in attending a talk please RSVP with the associated link below to let us know you are attending.

“F*@$!! It’s that time again!?!” - Is this you? This is NOT NORMAL. You should not have to suffer from debilitating mood swings, anxiety, breast tenderness, bloating, cramping, nausea, etc. on a monthly basis. There are 4 major types of premenstrual symptom presentations. Having a different pattern can give us an indication of an underlying hormone imbalance. In this talk we will discuss the different types and what they indicate along with some recommendations to get you moving in the right direction.

February 1, 2018 8pm - 9pm @ True North Fitness in Rebel Fit Nutrition

As we age our bones become weak and fragile, increasing the risk of falls and fractures. There are things you can do now to decrease your risk of osteoporosis later in life. This is particularly important for women around menopause (usually 50s) but both men and women can benefit from this talk. In this talk we will discuss the changes that occur in our bones as we age, what accelerates the process and the things you can start doing now to decrease your risk.

Food Sensitivities

February 17, 2018 (Time is still TBD) @ Dawson Creek Health and Wellness Expo

What is a food sensitivity and how do you know if you have one? Our bodies can produce an undesirable response to the foods we consume. Some of those symptoms are due to a lack of enzyme activity and some are due to an immune response. In this talk we will be discussing the differences between a food allergies vs. sensitivities vs. intolerances and the various options (and reliability of those options) in discovering if you have one.

You don't need to RSVP to this one :)

Huge thank you to the community for the ongoing support and for being so patient through this process! It's only a matter of time :)
